Black History month art supplies

The cost is to fund the Black History Month project which is part of our core curriculum in Year 8 Art classes. However, due to the cost of the canvases and paint we use we are hoping to supplement the cost with a bid to the PTA. Over the last few years the PTA has generously supported this project. It is a very successful project for staff and students learning on many levels. The objective of this grant is to ensure students in year 8 have the resources to extend their learning and skills to further their creative talents. The money from this grant if awarded will go towards some of the materials needed to ensure the success of the Project. Each student is given a canvas to paint a black female past or present who they aspire to. It take quite some time to go through the various stages of the project. The end result is tp produce an exhibition of all the paintings of the students. The students parents are then invited along with staff and the PTA to see the quality of the students work.
